gig week madness
Tumblr i neglect you. I check your updates everyday but ive had a lack in posts of interesting and wonderful things for me to look back on. SO whats beeen gooing on.
Been working in John Lewis for the past month and a half now. Im loving it. I’ve learned so much since i started its crazy. i can now go about the shop floor doing pretty much everything without asking for help. Ive been told that ususally takes 3 months.Im pretty chuffed with myself. Also there is a promotion prospect. Its not a solid concrete thing as of yet but my manager and dep manager were saying they are keeping an eye on me to see what my customer service is like and general know how. so all going well im going to be the next linens and bath accs team leader. fingers crossed.
Mum had an operation a few weeks back. shes doing good, and im very greatful for all the support everyone gave me. I know it wasnt a big op. ( she got her ovaries and a cyst the size of a tennisball removed) Jen was a huge help. Let me stay in irvine and kept me calm when i went total rager at the hospital.
Boys, well im still single but something strange has been going on lately. I’ll get back to this one. Going to see him today :)
And finally THIS WEEK. I’ve been waiting on it for the last few months. 3 gigs. Greenday monday night, Coheed and cambria which was last night and then pink on saturday.
Greenday were as usual phenomenal, they dont ever fail to please. The kid that got up to sing longview was amazing. usually they dont know all the words and get a ton of help but he was rocking out just like billiejoe. was so funny. I’ve also found a bit of closure with the last time i saw them. I posed back in october that i was really exited to go and see them. weelll that night i got dumped in glasgows secc venue after the gig. from a boy i was with for 3 year. aye he was a bawbag. but its all cool now. Hes living with a stripper and is prolly a smack head. when i heard ‘good ridance’ it was a huge fuck you.
Coheed and Cambria. Not a band ive ever bothered with too much. always liked them but never been fussed about seeing them. My dad likes them, asked me to go. Jackie was supposed to be going with us but she had to go away with work so jen came along :) she really likes them so it was great to see that she was having a good time. I really enjoyed them too. was a bit of a shock to the system at how amazing their guitar and bass playing was. Bumped into quite a lot of folk we knew, was good banter. Also proud of jen for saying hello. Because it was meant. Lifes too short :/ make your peace.
Pink ooeeee so excited so so so excited. its going to be a mad rush from work to hampden. gig opens at half 6…i think and i finish work at 7. gonna be total knackered. Clearance starts saturday too and im one of the staff that knows what everything is where its going and how many we have. uhohez AND we have a new start that day so no doubt shes gonna tea up with me that day.
