I have a job!
How did i manage that?! i have no work experience. Let alone experience in a high quality department store. I went in today and the guy who was interviewing me was the head of the furnishings dept. He said that he saw something in me that made him want to have me back in for an interview. he kept saying that and seemed pretty enthusiastic. we spoke for a wee bit about my application then he asked what i was interested in. I figured it was prolly best to be totally honest. Music, rock, metal and punk, peircings and tattoos. he burst out laughing. “thats amazing!” im glad i got a good reaction to that. he said he wouldnt have put me down as that type of person. he said he was pleasently surprised. which is good. the we started talking about how he grew up in newyork and knew someone who loved the new york dolls. it wasnt like an interview at all. I got sent downstairs to the furnishings dept. the first person took me around the bedding dept. pillows, duvets, pillow protectors n stuff. he was rather dishy. then a woman walked me round cushions, curtains and wallpaper. i hope i get put there! went back upstairs and spoke to the first guy again. then he said he’d let me know if i got the job in a few days. i leave john lewis cross the road to the bus station and my phone rings. i got the job! haha! that was so fast. im over the moon. after 4 months of being unemployed and never even had an interview or job before i get this one! i signed onto job seekers a few weeks ago and still havent recieved a payment. i dont even need it now! so i can just cancell all that! whoooopie!
My dads asked me and my mum out for dinner cause i got the job. tho it would have been their wedding anniversary today had they not gotten divorced :/ this makes me a tad uneasy. so im just not going to say anything about it. i hope jackies there too. or it will be very weird being with just those two. Dont think i’d like it much.
